Mental Health Technician III

Description of Duties/Essential Functions Benefits Supplemental Questions
Under direct supervision of the Living Unit Supervisor, serves as shift lead worker on one unit. Provides guidance and direction to lower level technicians on the shift who are performing duties as Program Group Leaders. Intervenes as indicated to ensure correct and consistent implementation of each program group's daily activity schedule and to ensure the care and development of persons within assigned program groups. Ensures procedures/techniques utilized are maintained in compliance with principles of protecting recipients' rights, normalization, age-appropriateness, and least restriction. On one shift, ensures compliance to the Facility/Division/Living Unit philosophy, programs, procedures, and practices. Completes required documentation. Assumes responsibility for ensuring the maintenance of the service environment. Performs checks and completes required documentation to ensure environment is maintained in a comfortable, attractive, safe and sanitary manner.
Minimum Requirements:Requires successful completion of an approved training program and one year experience in or applicable to the care, treatment or habilitation of persons with mental illness.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
